A STORY OF HOPE & COVID-19 SURVIVAL

”I was determined to fight this virus. I went in with all my arsenal - accupressure, Bowen therapy, self massage, essential oils, yoga, music, dance & most importantly- love, prayers & support from family & friends.“ -JoAnn

JoAnn de Larrazabal got infected with the COVID-19 virus and fully recovered in a little over a month.

JoAnn thinks she got infected in late February with the COVID-19 virus on a flight from Sydney, Australia to Manila. She started experiencing symptoms on March 14 and when all the dreaded COVID symptoms appeared, she checked herself in the hospital on March 21.

She spent the next 10 days in the hospital, isolated without family and friends, with nothing but her faith, willpower to overcome the virus, and an excellent medical staff.

On March 31 she was discharged from the hospital and went home, which she describes as “one of the best days of [her] life.” On April 7, she just got her final test result for COVID - it was negative!

Hope KKK QC thanks JoAnn and husband Albert for their generous donation to the project and for allowing us to share her story of hope and survival.

Victories like this give us all hope as we continue to fight this COVID battle.
